Anyone know if you can get htop for Mac OS? I use HTOP all the time for linux and its awesome. It would be great to run on my MBP. Thanks in advance.

You're right, it is an awesome program!

It is available, but you have to install it from source.

I was thinking that I may have to install from source. I think I need xcode though because when I try to configure the source it tells me there is no C compiler. I think I have to get gcc from the Xcode?

Are you using Leopard or Snow Leopard?

I'm not currently on my Mac, but I have it on Leopard (installed it over 3 years ago!). If memory serves me correct, there was some problem with installing it on SL.

I have version 10.6.7

Bump....Does anyone know how to get htop working on 10.8? None of the links in this thread work for 10.8. I can install htop to /bin but it does not work properly (no application names beside the PID). I hate the OS X modified top so really was hoping to get htop working on my MBP :(

I know this is an older thread but it is a top google result...

Is ANYONE currently running htop under 10.2 OS X? If so, how?
