I heard about and have seen the HUD app Atoll Ordenadores. It is pretty cool and you can lay your phone horizontally, tap the mirror button and it will reflect the info off your windshield so you have a HUD type environment in your car.

Has anyone seen anything like that that will list driving directions or really any text that you might have?

Its a cool concept, but, I use my phone for music in my car. So it would be impractical for me.
