Huge DDoS attack underway?

Has anyone else had problems with their hosting today? I know my personal websites that I host at DreamHost both got creamed, and my server that I sell accounts on also went down today. Additionally, I hear that the myspace.com and microsoft.com servers got hit hard. Anybody have any info on this?

People were also complaining about some big forum servers, like ezboard.com, today.... Hmmmm.... 🙁

Just got confirmation that Google has been hit, and phpBB was also having problems over the weekend.


EDIT: Google is MUCH slower.

Email I just got from my host:

We're currently being hit by a fairly large Distributed Denial of Service
Attack.

We have things under control, for the most part, but the attack is
periodically changing and we're having to change our response along with it.

As different machines are used as targets of the attack, they may become
unstable. We're getting them back to normal as quickly as possible.

We're working with our upstream providers to keep the attackers away from
our network in first place.

I didn't notice it (wasn't on the 'net until tonight), but I got the same message from Dreamhost. My Dreamhost pages seem to be fine now...

Google was definitely having problems earlier. It was deadly slow.

There's a PHP XML-RPC worm going around. Been hit by it several times in a row, but I'm patched, so I'm okay.
