Hi All. Have rather huge problem. Ok where to start. Non of my media on iPhone 11 works. Both cameras black screen, YouTube, Facebook or any other video is unplayable, no sound and speakers don’t work as well. The only thing that work just safari browser. What I did to solve this? Countless hours on my spare phone with Apple support. Phone was sent for repairs just for them returning phone with answer that they can not replicate the issue. Phone was working fine after returning just two weeks later done exactly same again. Back to Apple support. There diagnostics uncovered camera problem. Yet as I said above nothing else except safari works as well. Restored phone to factory settings with Apple support. They told me to set iPhone as new. Everything working again. No problems as they ran diagnostics. But I did this before. And every time after that phone works for two weeks and it is same again. Fed up. Phone is only 5months old. And I having this issue for the last two months. Really need some answers.

Country? Exchange for replacement at the Apple store. You said it’s only 5mo old, right?

But, if setting it up as new fixes the problem every time, it seems like something you’re doing. Some App, hack, etc.

I am in uk. I was thinking maybe a virus in a phone or something. I only have 10apps from Apple store and I can’t think of anything that I am doing wrong. Can’t even make phone calls with this thing as sound and microphone is not working either. Apple support are baffled as I am. As I said they uncovered camera problem on diagnostics but after setting up to new it’s gone. I am using phone as normal now but I know the issue will come back. Again if that would be iCloud problem that would probably affect my iPad Pro that I using on my account. In fact I have all same apps in there and I don’t have any issues with it.

Any help or insight would be very helpful. Apple told me if the issue comes back again to give them a call again. But I am really fed up with this now.

Try simulate 2 weeks of usage - e.g. let play videos whole night on charger, or use multiple benchmarks, let some game running long time. (But this testing substitute apple service testing I think)
What changing in 2 weeks ? iPhone only fill caches with data, using indexing and machine learning on photos.
Can be probably bad sectors on storage ? Or Ram ?
Shortest way is change for another device.

Apple refusing to replace device under warranty saying that is nothing wrong with device as far as they concerned. But to me it’s multiple malfunctioning. Had iPhones for the last 10years and never had such problems.

Understood. Try to invoke problem in short time and then say them how to replicate it. Let shooting 4K video for hour, play youtube, run benchmarks...

As I said I have iPad Pro running on a same iCloud account Same apps and have no problems whatsoever hence this iPhone 11 mass malfunctioning is very odd. I will try to use it a lot by any mean.listening for Spotify for hours and watching YouTube it won’t take long for issues to reappear am sure. So question begs is it a catch that is the issue? And how come no other device's have same issue?

Probably faulty hardware which reveal problem after certain time of usage.

What is DFU restore? It is running latest 13.4.1. And just today it was restored to full factory settings though up/down volume plus holding lock/unlock button till cable simbol appears. And yes it was set to new iPhone without importing old apps. Just signed to my iCloud. Everything works for now but not first time I done it. And it only last for few weeks till I need to repeat this again.

Again Apple denies faulty hardware

Yes, that may be one of these rare cases where some kind of component starts to act wonky only under certain conditions. Or it’s some weird software bug, since the device is fine after a factory reset from the sounds of it.

OP, best success!

Vytas Rinkevicius : you would have a luck if you know reproduce bug in short time - and then report steps to apple service. Because if you tell them "use iphone 2 weeks", they probably don't do it :D

ericwn : Yes but same icloud account on other devices indicates more a hw fault.

Maybe try without old icloud (or create a new one) but it will be hard to use. You would have to need a backup phone for "testing" main one...

OT : I have a issue if i go back to home screen from mail, sometimes run spotlight search. Probably from latest update. I nothing found about it yet.

Thats a thing pal I can’t find any info regarding issue as well. And I am rather good with technical stuff my self. I am mechanical engineer as well as I have no probs in doing IT stuff. But this stuff bugs me off. Tryed replicate multiple scenarios but no pattern here. The phone just stops working after few weeks. I will try to press hard Apple to replace phone as can’t see any other solution here...definitely don’t want to swap to android as I am not fan of it at all..

If you can live without all apps except the ones that come with the phone, reload iOS, add no apps, and see if you get the same problem after a few weeks. Normally I’d say load one new app at a time and see how stable the phone is. But since it’s been taking multiple weeks to destabilize, I’m recommending you run clean for a while to see if it’s stable. Given it takes so long to fail and yet restores fine, I’m thinking it has to be one if the apps you’re loading.

Thats what I was thinking but I literally have 10 apps in my phone. All generic like YouTube, mobile banking Spotify, messenger, viber, not much else. That’s exactly where I don’t understand. I have very little in my phone yet such a huge problem.

What is DFU restore?

Scroll down to section that says „How to Enter DFU Mode on ‌iPhone 11‌, ‌iPhone 11 Pro‌, and ‌iPhone 11 Pro Max“.

I would give DFU restore a try! Solved some hard to catch issues for me couple of times.

You need to escalate this problem higher up the Apple chain. Apple can give you a profile to download, that will log what is happening on your phone. This would make it easier for the, to determine if the problem is faulty hardware or certain app(s) causing panics on your phone.
