I was downloading the latest updates from apple today (through software update) when the system crashed in the middle of the update. Now my software update wont open and no installer works either.

I have done the repair privileges but to no avail.

Any ideas?

I'm in the same exact boat and no one has had any clues in my thread.

All right kid, follow these instructions and it should work for you. Find your install disc and put disc one into the computer, shutdown the computer, remove the power adapter and then the battery. Hold the Power button for at least 5 secs then go ahead and replace the battery. Hold down the C button and power up. Up top you should see the Utilities menu of the Installation disc, click on disc utility and run the Repair Disc. After it runs restart the computer and try to download iTunes again.
It worked for me, hope it works for you.
