Hulu App on Apple TV Gets New Interface With Vertical Sidebar

I forgot to say something about Hulu…..now we think about and talk about what would it be better with it but…..

what if Disney will buy the rest of Hulu and integrate it in Disney+? Or let me go in a another future…..what is, if Apple will buy Disney after Disney bought Hulu? Than we have at the end an ultimately AppleTV App with LiveTV, content with movies/series and we have sport (ESPN)

This has been rumored for the past couple years. They can't integrate it obviously until Comcast sells their share ... and that price tag keeps going up, due to increased subscriber numbers. Disney has to do something in the next couple years with that I know, due to contracts and what not. I can see them dropping the Hulu name and bringing in the STAR name inside of Disney+, which is what they have in other countries for a lot of the content you see on Hulu.

But honestly I see Disney selling ESPN before they sell Hulu. ESPN is dying a slow death in terms of revenue, subscriber numbers, etc. And league contracts keep increasing in price. But more importantly, Disney owning ESPN means that they have to keep it semi family-friendly. If they rolled ESPN into its own company, it would have way more freedom in terms of how it operated.

No update here. Is the update not available everywhere in the US yet? Update was available on my Roku Tv.

Just bought new ATV4K few days ago and my Hulu app is not the new one either with the menu on the side.

Don’t know of a way to force the update, I wonder if others have the newest version on there ATV 4K?

Hulu said it'd be a slow rollout. Probably on an account-by-account basis.

With me being a subscriber for years and years, I’d like to feel I’d be one of the first? But not sure how they would know what account is what when the update is through the App Store and not Hulu?

Hulu doesn't care how long you've been a subscriber, lol. It's random, based on account, device and probably other factors. YouTube TV does the same thing.
