Since that plug-in that was out from beacup i think his name is doesn't work anymore

I downloaded playon to run hulu on my apple tv jailbroken

Playon also gives you some other channels

With playon to work it has to be running on your computer & you have to have xbmc on your apple tv

Then you add playon as a video source

    My question

Is this the only way to run hulu on the apple tv right now ?

Im trying to find a way to run hulu on the apple tv without the laptop being on

I think you can AirPlay hulu+ from an iPad or iPod. Not sure if the computer needs to be on.

There is an iPad/iPhone app for Playon and it supports Airplay. Have you tried that? I don't have Playon but I am considering it for ESPN3. I'm curious about the quality when using Airplay.

Personally I gave up trying and sprung for a Roku box.

My thoughts exactly. Might have been nice when I was using a HP MediaSmart server for my media files, but that turn out to be just a big bag of hurt. ;-)
