I can actually open it if I just show hidden files in the App folder. Top news is available along with specific news sources, but curated daily news is locked out.
But it goes without saying it should of been localized to Canada a long time ago.
We're pretty easy too, just spam the CBC and National post API.Yeah, I totally agree. Canada is not just some random country. It is one of the 7 or so most important nations in the world.
The NYT times is the organization all others follow when setting the news agenda for the day.If you really do this then you have no idea about what is happening in the world. With the exception of CNN and Buzzfeed, the NYT and WaPo are primary sources not aggregators. They write the articles that everyone else will reference or modify when writing their own version. I would include the WSJ as well.
You have a choice. You can either live in the real world or you can live in a fantasy parallel universe thinking that everything is a conspiracy. If you don’t want centrist/center-left politics then don’t read their political articles. All will be labeled “opinion.” Politics is just a fraction of news content.
Or better yet, use Feedly. I use Newsify with Feedly. I can view in browser and in apps.
The fact you didn’t include fox in that list is quite telling.First thing I did when using Apple News is block fake news MSM sources like NYT, The Washington Post, Buzzfeed, CNN, Times, etc.
Sure but not all of Apple’s customers are.Apple has always been very liberal, so one might assume they are left.
Except algorithms are programmed by humans. Is it possible for a human being to create a bias free algorithm?Having humans (which all are biased when it comes to personal views) pick the news articles that you will be seeing is a terrible idea no matter your own beliefs. Most likely this is being done to push Tim Cook's social agenda on all Apple devices. I'm a moderate person with a mix of liberal and conservative beliefs and I think this is a terrible idea. Humans are biased by nature and it will be passed on.

I’m a moderate, too. I use Apple News as just quick summary source or supplement. I get news from all over the place. In the case of Hurricane Florence when I was trying to find out if the family home we share with in-laws was destroyed or not, I had to dig down to find tweets from people who actually live there as well as rely on emails from neighbors and friends who got back to us as soon as the evacuation was over.Having humans (which all are biased when it comes to personal views) pick the news articles that you will be seeing is a terrible idea no matter your own beliefs. Most of Apple News will skew to the left because all the curators are to the left and Apple is to the left. It’s not complicated.
Cue incoming #NPC comments re: Breitbart and Fox News in 3,2,1
Can you name four or five of your favorite sources you rely on for your daily news?

Yeah sure, keep telling yourself that. Please do some research. You act as if those are the primary source for valid news. They're not, and far from it. Not everything is a "conspiracy", most conspiracies end up being true any and to every conspiracy there's truth behind it. Which most people are too blinded too see because all they read, see and hear is propaganda from the MSM. Don't be lazy, if you want to know the truth, do your own research. It's out there.
I'm referring to the news app made by Apple. Not talking about the news articles that are curated by them.

That's not what he said. He referred to examples on someone elses list.Holy Moly! You think the NYT and Wapo are the only primary sources out there!
