But the press is having a bit more glee with people’s potential losses and tragedies than they should and I can see the tricks of language they’re using to not lose the momentum of hype they built up when it was threatening the coast as a Category 4.Storm surge doesn't care about the category of a hurricane. The potential for catastrophic flooding is still there.
We’re relying on a network of friends to get a less sensationalized picture of what’s going on. It’s still not pretty. But the tone is very different from the tone in a lot of the media.
