Why NAB?

NAB is a forum for content creation. Station owners and producers don't care if they're editing or compositing on a Mac, an IBM, or a black box. As long as it gets material on the air or on the screen and it pays the bills.

Something like Motion makes sense to hype up at NAB. An OS? No. Nobody cares.

But this thread is about CPU's = PowerMac with dual cores  ;)

Ignoring whether they care about the OS, the software products they do care about are highly rumored to require Tiger to run, so an announcement by NAB makes sense.

And as for the dual core/dual proc, that may require Tiger and it is a perfect machine for content creation.

So, to be repetitious, Tiger being announced soon is quite likely.
