Hope some of the major HVAC manufacturers are here. Please make your components HomeKit compatible. It would be awesome to have HVAC components automated to work with my existing HomeKit scenes

I thought there were ceiling fans already supported by HomeKit. Believe Hunter Douglas is one. You can always hook them up to a smart switch though. Lutron Caseta makes a specific fan switch.
I would love to see appliances with HomeKit support like Samsung has with Samsung Connect.

I agree with the premise, but HVAC and ceiling fans already have this. Get a thermostat that works with HomeKit, there are quite a few that do. For ceiling fans there are a few that support it out of the box, but they are kind of on the expensive end ($300+ from what I remember). What I did was use the Lutron fan control switches. They have been excellent.

I know Lennox S30, Carrier Cor, Bryant Housewise "thermostats" are HomeKit compatible. I quoted the word thermostats because I know the Lennox S30 is actually a controller that communicates with the equipment rather then a simple thermostat (switch controlled by temp). Depending on the thermostat, integrating functions into HomeKit aren't easily possible, for example Rheem/Ruuds EcoNet communicating controller can also control a Rheem water heater temp functions like that are difficult to integrate.

Assuming a thermostat isn't a proprietary controller for that manufacturers HVAC equipment you or your HVAC contractor can install a HomeKit thermostat at time of purchase or later down the road.
