the more i read in computer history, this program name shows up again and again...
am not sure what people used it for, or what was its impact on the world
but i do understand its like powerpoint with click-able links to make you move from one slide to the other...

any how, why did this software die?
and what is its replacement now days?

Hypercard was largely replaced by HTML and Javascript. If you've ever played Myst, you've seen what HyperCard can do, and much of it was designed with Hypercard. It was an easy way to teach people how to program and make applications that were simple to very complex. The designer of HyperCard, said once that had he though ahead and made it capable of accessing data on other computers, it likely would be used for Internet Applications.

I don't believe it was 'programmed' per say, but I know it was prototyped in HyperCard. Although it was easy to export a HyperCard stack as an App, but back in the day it would then be hard to make it universal.
