I would like to know how to put a hyperlink in another sheet within the same excel document.

For example:

sheet 1.) list clients - general information
sheet 2.) list clients - financial information
sheet 3.) list clients - technical information

Sheet 1.) for example, the "cell" of client B. should be a hyperlink, so I would like to click and jump to see his financial situation immidiatly instead of scrolling all the way down and click sheet 2.) and find client B.

If possibly I would also like to hyperlink from sheet 2.) client B, to client B. sheet 3 technical information (but don't think that's possible because there is then already a hyperlink from sheet 1 to 2, client B. so the last part is not really important).

But the first part is important, from 1 to 2. Can someone out there please help me?

Thanx!

Go to the cell where you want to insert the hyperlink, press CMD-K to insert a hyperlink, select the Document button, set the destination in the Anchor box (can use the Locate button to find the page and enter a cell destination), choose what you want to display as the hyperlink name, and you're done

You are correct and you are da' man!

Problem with hyperlinking

I did exactly as "blodwyn" recommended and it worked perfectly until I saved the file and closed it. When I reopened the file all the links gave me the following error message: "Reference is not valid." I checked whether the hyperlink still had the same anchor and it did. The only way to make the links work again was to reselect their source for each and every one of them.

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong or how I could solve this problem?

Thank you in advance to anyone who helps me out.

I got the same error message for only one of my links. I deleted the link and reset it. Since then, all the links have worked even after closing and reopening the file. Seems like an intermittent problem.

This is exactly what is happening with me. I'm really having some trouble with hyperlinking. I even tried what Quillenriver suggested, however when I save the file then re-open it, it still shows the message "Reference is not valid."
