I'm deeply considering buying a mbp come next revision. When the time comes, I'm considering selling my current powerbook 12" 1.5 with 768 ram, 80 gig hd so i can afford some upgrades 😀 . How much do you think it would sell for? Thanks.

Well, the 12" PowerBook G4 originally cost $1499. They probably lost around $600-700 of their resale value when Intel Macs arrived.

fair enough..i guess they still run powerpc apps pretty efficiently so there would be some demand.

also...if I were to sell it..is there any program/way to completely clean off the hd (low-level format maybe) and reinstall the OS? I know how to do this on PC but not on mac. THanks.

On the OS X Disc, use Disc Utility to erase the harddrive and do a 7 times pass. This is a "true" clean install.
