Assume that the SE has 1GB ram.

Would you have preferred if it were $499 - but was fully fledged like 6S: 16GB Base, with 2GB RAM, 3D touch screen, 5MP front cam, and faster cellular data? (basically the only difference is the 4" screen.)

(Imo as much as I'd love that - a lower price point would probably be more appealing to the target audience without compromising 6S's sales.)

$499 probably wouldn't be better because that is higher than the 5s which was $450 before the SE was announced and most people probably don't even know the RAM specs so $499 would be a way higher price than they expected.

Yes! I am a 6S owner but I love 5S' form factor. I would grab it at 499$. :D

3d touch isn't a deal breaker. Ram is. But I'm not paying $100 for 1gb of ram, it's just not happening.

I said that $400 would be my price point well before the event today. I said I needed 2gb ram. It'd really that simple.

I'd have paid full 6s price for an SE if it had full 6s specs (except size/screen of course). Happily.
