Hello everyone,

I accidentally dropped my Macbook Air M1 and it's gets a scratch :( but everything working fine. Should I be worried? Please guide as I'm really worried and dont have plans to change the Macbook for least 2 3 years.

Sucks about the scratch but if it's currently working fine it's highly unlikely that would change. Just about everything is soldered on so not many ribbon type connectors to come loose.

my 2010 MacBook air feel a few times, nothing really happened.
my powerbook feel once, the screen cracked!
if you notice a noise or flickering the MacBook had a logic board jolt
if not, you should be oaky, time will tell!

It's just an aesthetic problem, not a hardware problem

A book shelf fell off the wall above my desk about a month or so after I had bought my i5/8/512 Air. Fortunately my MacBook was there to break its fall from about 5 feet. Got a nice little ding in it. I was beside myself for about a week. Then I put a skin on it and a sticker and its good as new.

I have a huge dent at the edge of 15 inch MBP 2011. Time to start to think like the Japanese, learn to love imperfections. This is the only way.

"It's working fine" so what is there to worry about? If it ever breaks get it fixed.

mac book pro fell off the bonnet (hood) of a works van at over 30MPH in Nov 2016 One dent on lid to edge of the screen one deep scratch on the base and lid a bit looser than they usually are

4 years and 5 months later still going strong, though admittedly two of its feet have dropped off in mean time :)

MacBook Pro Early 2011, in 2014 was in a backpack, and set down on the driveway. A car ran over the bachpack, squarely over the part that had the Mac. Mac was compressed enough that the CD-ROM Drive [what's that? ;-) ] was pressed together enough that a CD could not clear the space. The screen was cracked, but the Mac booted up and seemed ok. Repair consisted of going to an independent repair shop to get the screen replaced ($100), and my taking a flat-blade screwdriver to the CD-ROM Drive and spreading it's entrance apart. Afterwards, everything worked fine (including the CD-ROM Drive). As I write this, my wife is next to me working with this 10-year old machine, which I have self-upgraded over time with a new battery and more memory.
