I ALREADY need more hard drive and RAM for my Mac Pro.

Well I already have bought the WD Caviar 750GB drives. Upon starting up the computer they are humming/buzzing with this pulsating noise, or at least one of them is. Yesterday after installing them they buzzed for hours and hours. What could be wrong? I hope this is not normal.
