That doesn't sound too bad, but I just realized that if those were the names, Apple would run into a problem when they release the "S" versions. What would those be called and what would the successors to the "S" versions be called?

iPhone 7S mini
iPhone 7S
iPhone 7S+

I don't know what else you were expecting with regards to buying Android phones, it tends to be the case unless you buy the flagships such as the S6 Edge Plus (less storage but more expensive than the top iPhone) once the reviews are out of the way and a new update comes out it's downhill from there.

As for a C generation it looks unlikely unless they once again put a plastic back (Which in my opinion looks hideous, but each their own) on the iPhone 6 from last year which is still being sold. Perhaps that new LTE chip may be added and the faster wifi but this will not change the 1GB A8 chip inside. I find it hard to believe the flagship colour features will be added. So you may as well buy an iPhone 6 which can be bought cheaply now most people sold heirs for a 6S. But that's just my view, up to you!

Oh I mean they'd be the:

iPhone 7 Mini
iPhone 7
iPhone 7 +

I think we're more likely to see the iPhone lineup match the iPad and MacBook lineup.

iPhone Pro - 5.5 inch
iPhone Air - 4.7 inch
iPhone Mini - 4 inch

Hopefully with performance parity as well.

Apple does not have performance parity across their iPad or MacBook lineups. If Apple were to choose a similar trend for the iPhone, why do you think they would go for performance parity? IMO, they are losing out a ton of upsell by having parity between the 6S and the 6S+. As long as Apple can get their supply chain in order, I think they could update the iPhone 7+ to the A10 while leaving out the iPhone 7 with the A9. That way, they can steer people into e higher margin phone (at least those who care).

I've always wanted to find an excuse to purchase a white iPhone 5C. I love the design, it's very unique to Apple's phone line.

Maybe as like a work phone (if one were required), but for the time being I'm satisfied with my iPhone 5.

I read that as iFad, and actually laughed, because it's not necessarily far off (I love the products but I do think its funny. Anyway....)

Apple seems to have abandoned the C series. And I say this because the 5c replaced the 5, which was only s year old at the time, yet we didn't see that repeated this year. The 5c was to the 5s what a 6c should be to the 6s, but that didn't happen (the 6 is still being sold).

I don't think Apple saw the sales numbers they wanted to see to justify revamping a year old device. They'd just as soon keep selling that year old device at $100 discount.

All that aside, I thought the 6 plus was the worst performing phone I've ever used (from Apple) out of the box. I wouldn't want a repeat of that, if even at a discount.

I know they don't have performance parity among those lineups. But I, along with many other people would be pretty annoyed with buying a 7 and the 7 plus is significantly better. The 4.7 inch model is Apple's main one anyway. There are more accessories that cater to it, it sells more, Apple's execs use them mostly and the majority of their marketing material shows the 4.7 model. I don't think they'd make it a significantly worse phone.

No doubt. But you hear the annoyance of people wanting a dGPU or Quad core in the 13" rMBP. Apple does not shy away from that upsell.

I will buy the 6C when it comes out because, first of all the "C" series of iPhones are always cheaper, and I dont have tons of money to spend on a iPhad 6 plus (yes I just combined iPhone and iPad). Second of all, at the moment I have a android phone that is extremely laggy and has terrible battery life, even though I bought it THIS YEAR!! Well, enough talk will you get it? Answer the poll!

Why would you get that POS. Just get a 6s.

Even if a 6C came out I'd still pick the 6S in space grey, I've had my heart set on it for ages now.
