i am not sure if this is in the correct spot if not please excuse me

PLease excuse my grammar or spelling mistakes i am not a great writer!

ok so i am sure many of you who are phone junkies are feeling like me now. I am using the iPhone 5 now boring only thing i like is that the phone,iPad,macs all sync together. i have a blackberry as my pure business phone the BB 9900 i cant help it i like the keypad sometimes i will get he Q10 to replace it when its released . In the last month i have had the z10 i got it from blackberry before it was released because i made friends with the right guy, the fact the phone has no great apps and the only good feature was the hub but keyboard was just ok. I could barely see the words of the predictive suggestions because they blended in with the keyboard also i am older so i do use reading glasses(ha). I went and got my self a droid razr m because i like the size and i heard it was a good phone for the money. I am thinking of getting the s4 when it comes out i do love android just because i can tinker with the phone a bit make it fun. i just cant find the perfect phone. i know u have to play with each one to decide which is perfect for my needs but i must say the new phones that are being released are just phones with more bells and whistles then quality and have become more then a phone. i wish i can design the perfect phone but in todays world it just does not exist. i use my phone for calls, email, texting, oh i like to play games sometimes but i also want a quality feeling phone. will the s4 do it? stay with iPhone 5? who the **** knows anymore i just want a great quality phone that can do all that i need. i am 49 years old and i am up to date on most tech in the market today i am not scared of trying something new i just cant figure out what phone will give me what i want.

Question to all what phone would u get at this point in time? i would just like to have input from others who are like me looking for the perfect phone for now.

I would consult onthecouchagain, he's making a futile attempt to find the perfect phone as well. Just pick the one you like the best; they all have flaws.

So you use your phone for calls, e-mail, texting, and playing games. I'm pretty sure any smartphone out can do all of the above. You say you don't like BB10 because there is no apps but then don't list any of the apps you needed that weren't available. You say you just want a quality phone that can do what you want. You have an iPhone 5 which is a quality phone and it can cover your checklist of calls, e-mail texting, and games, but then it is too boring.

You should see if you can get your account name changed to onthecouchagain jr.

    EDIT:

HAHAH! I love that you referenced to onthecouchagain too! You must have posted your reply while I typing mine. ****ing love it!

Do you mean "perfect"? or "perfect for you"??

    Big difference there...

Keep the iPhone 5. Then buy the z10, Lumia 920, nexus 4 or another flagship android device.

    Your perfect phone has arrived.

No I am not joking, all these take one and give one, the best way to get a perfect phone currently is to buy one of each and switch around.

    There is no perfect phone.

There's only phones who's positives outweigh the negatives to a significant-enough degree to make one ignore (or tolerate) the negatives. And each persons' list of (+) and (-) is different.

I read the thread title and instantly looked to see if it was by onthecouchagain ;):D:p

come to think of it maybe onthecouchagain needs to spend some time with a phone psychotherapist literally on-the-couch-again to help him decide :) :)

But yeah i don't believe there is such a thing as a perfect phone. there is always tradeoffs of some extent, in fact by fixating and looking too hard to find perfection it will tend to make the flaws bigger in your mind than they probably are in reality, and you'll never be happy.

Its much easier to just pick a device you like and focus on why you like it, why you want it, enjoy it, and get pleasure from it - and then the inherent flaws in the perfection will seem less of a bother.

A sextuple-booting Android/iOS/Ubuntu/WP8/Symbian/Meego device designed by Apple running the latest Extreme CPU from Intel, 4 GTX Titans in SLI, 64GBs of RAM, a 1TB SSD built by Samsung and a bajillion mAH battery. I would have absolutely no problem with that.

EDIT: Oh and a nice big shiny display. None of that 4" retina stuff.
    EDIT2: Watercooling.

Because I've voiced my displeasure (in an open forum) for two recent devices I've owned, I'm on the hunt for and/or believe there exist a perfect phone?

... All righty. So be it.

were not mocking you bud - were having friendly banter / jossing :)

Your posts on should I buy HTC One / S4 and iPhone 5 displeasure (because you deem in unusable unless jailbroken) have left a mark on readers - hence this thread made us think of you. If your going to be vocally active, you have to expect folks to think of you when certain threads or themes pop up - otherwise its like someone shouting at top of their lungs in a crowded room 'Dont look at me.. I'm shy".... ;) :)

I highly recommend the note 2. You can play your games on the gigantic 5.5 inch screen. I love my note 2.

That phone is so expensive and yet so utterly hideous. It's a pure example that 'lots of money doesn't always equate to class'....

I just have to say that I bought the IP5 and launch day and with in the last month decided to switch to the Note II. One of the greatest decisions I made. I can't see myself leaving anytime soon. I highly recommend the Note! Touchwiz combined with Nova launcher make it a BAWS! You could also flash a nice ROM if you want stock!

I like the note 2 a lot, but by no means is it perfect. I like all the others will say that there is no such thing as a perfect phone. It seems you have tried every OS sobyou know what each brings to the table. I would suggest keeping the iphone 5 and getting an android that you like. If I had to suggest one it would be the Nexus 4. Buy an sim adaptor and switch between the two. That way when you don't like something or get tired of one you can just switch.

The way that seemingly every phone to you is marred by flaws and displeasure makes it seem that you're searching for the perfect phone you'll never find. That's all ;P

If the nexus 4 had LTE and a bigger battery it would be the perfect phone....for me. But like it was said before, there is no perfect phone, just the perfect phone for you.

if aesthetics is important, check out HTC One. however you will loose memory expansion. Galaxy S4 is a powerful beast. Note 2 is also good but might be little big? It really depends on what size you prefer. but overall these are all great phones and you can't really go wrong with any. if price is a concern, then Nexus 4 is the winner. It's factory unlocked with pentaband 3G for $299 direct from google.

It sounds to me the issue isn't the phone its the OP. It all comes down to one fact, 'its just a phone' so when appling the appropriate perspective its simply not that serious, if at all. Yes it does more than just make calls, even still its not that serious.
