Okay, obsessed might be a bit strong, but still - excited!!

My watch delivered today, and I JUST got home from out of town and set it up. I am so pleased with the size and weight. It's like having nothing on my arm, and the 42mm is perfect. I've been on the fence about the larger one the last couple years, and now the smaller one is just enough bigger for it to be perfect!

I'm coming from SS S8, and though I LOVE the look of the stainless, I am so thrilled with the weight of this S10.

For anyone curious about the size difference going from 41-42, here's a pic (sorry it's not a better one). Hard to believe a mm makes that much difference.

I am completely in love with my series 10 in 42mm as well! I have the Jet black one though!

It’s indeed like I’m wearing nothing. I come from a Garmin watch and earlier this year I went to a store where they have Apple Watches that you can try on and I did try the 41mm and 45mm and I decided I wanted the 45mm. But I started second guessing myself and then the new watches were announced and I just pre ordered the 42mm without giving it a second thought and I’m so happy I did!

It’s really strange, the s9 in 41mm looked too small/ off on my 152mm wrist, but the 42mm S 10 looks perfect!

It really is a great size, and I never would’ve considered it back when it was the largest watch.

Glad someone else is loving theirs also! ;-p

Same! I posted this in another thread:

Got my new aluminum S10 42mm watch today. Coming from an aluminum s9 41mm, I wasn't expecting much change but I was excited about the thinner/lighter. It feels like a huge upgrade to me! I swear that I feel the difference in weight/thickness. You wouldn't think 1mm x 1mm bigger would make much difference, but to my eyes it does. It's actually the perfect size for me now. I have small wrists but lately have been thinking the 41mm screen looks a little small but didn't want to go up to the 45mm. The 42mm size so so perfect!!! The screen is big without overpowering my small wrist. I think the 41mm > 42mm is a better physical change than the 45mm > 46mm.

I agree--this S10 is gorgeous!

I finally upgraded from a S4 40mm, so in my case I was gaining 2mm. Again, it's hard to understand how 2mm can make a difference, but it does. (I remember experiencing this same pleasant surprise when I went from my S0 38mm to the 40mm. It's mind-boggling how I'm now wearing a watch that's close to the same size as the 'big' one was when they first came out.)

+1. 42 mm, jet black. It’s uncanny. I had an aluminium S5 44mm and this tiny thing has a slightly larger display. I keep looking for the bezels, with the OLED screen it looks like there’s something missing. It’s like having a very pretty small black hole on my wrist :D The moment I saw that 42mm would have a screen essentially the size of 44mm I knew I was going to “save money” and buy the “small” one.

Battery life is shockingly good, too. That was my one worry. Although I am coming from a watch that needed a top-up during the day, so maybe I just have low standards ;)

I was worried about that too, because I come from Garmin. My old watch had a 12 day battery life on one charge. My Apple Watch had 2.9% battery usage per hour between charging it yesterday and today 😆 So that’s totally workable! And I did 2 workouts and sleep tracking etc. I forgot to charge my Garmin sometimes, because charging it every 10-12 days is not a real routine.

I went from 2.5 hours in the evening to get to 95%-ish to the nightly canasta game charge of 30-45 minutes and that’s it. I took it off the charger with 96% an hour ago. It’s down to 95%.

The only thing that feels off is… not having the bezels. The screen is unnaturally large somehow 🤣
