I was working around the house and had Netflix on. But I can’t hear it because I walked out of the living room. So I put it on my iPad. But then I was caring it around and the sound wasn’t great and it is a 12.9 inch so hard to find a place to put it in each and every room. The Magic Keyboard doesn’t prop it up with great viewing angles either. So I put it on my iPhone and tried one of those neck cranes that has that flexible arms. But the iPhone was too heavy so it kept falling down and limited my activities because it was so bulky.

Looking forward to being able to do chores around the house and putting my shows on!

Definitely an interesting use case! I am curious if the pass through mode allows semi-transparency, so you can still see video while having an unobstructed view to the outside.

If hearing the show is the issue when you’re away from the tv, why not get a cheap pair of sennheiser TV wireless headphones, and plug your tv’s audio out into those?

Surely your chores require you to see what you’re doing... and if you’re watching in a little window in glasses, David Lynch is going to egg your house.

I agree, this is one of the use cases I think will be great. For me, it’s doing the dishes or cooking. I like to have my phone or iPad on the kitchen counter with video playing. But my hands get dirty or soapy, which is not great for tapping the screen, and the screen is not very large especially with the iPhone.

Instead, I imagine a resizable floating video screen that I can fix in space anywhere above the counter, with virtual controls that work with the hand tracking. This is an example use case where not having controllers is a plus.
