I Googled it and found that they're making a second album... I don't know if you're involved in that or not
Get a lawyer if you really mean it.
Sell a few hundred copies for any amount of money you can get. Extrapolate that out to the number of (unauthorized) downloads (put up by your friends) and sue them for loss of income.
Lawyers, FBI, cops and judges… not fun. Let them know that they might beat the wrap, but they won't beat the ride.
Harassment, a restraining order or a lawsuit to go after him legally ... your choice.
On youtube there is a self done interview of someone talking about how he is going to make a second platypus album...
P.S... Nvm i feel like an idiot, you're dustin!
By the way: In case you couldn't tell, I'm not really British!![]()
I fail to see how this is about copyright anymore...it seems you are looking for a legal avenue for a personal problem.
Your issue is with these people, not with the people you dont know who are downloading and listening to this.
Obviously these people who have done this to you have a problem with you, personally. Thats something you need to deal with, and I dont think copyright infringement is going to get you anywhere with folks who obviously have crap for brains and coal for a heart. Schoolyard justice? Only in the movies.
Its like saying "Cmon guys, stop it! Stop it or Ill tell!" and them simply doing what degenerates do, make it worse.![]()

Upon further thought, Just keep targetting the torrent sites. Let them know (politely) that you are the artist and the person posting the torrent did so without your knowledge or permission and you request that it be removed. Do this on each torrent site. Eventually it will be gone, and possibly the user's IP banned. I would vaguely hint at further action, but nothing specific. These hosts dont want issues.
This is my main problem. As I said, I do have the problem with the copyrights and such, but if my full name, hometown and phone number were not attached, I'd probably just be pissed (like I was until I found out about the info and the continuing..), and not be wanting to take further action. At this point, it's very frustrating realising there's basically nothing I can do.
Edit: By the way, it's still a copyright issue, even if it's not targeting the people who downloaded it.
From the US Copyright law:
five and six also count, as he has played them very loudly in our school before in my presence, ignoring me when asking him to shut it off.
This is my current planI haven't seen any results yet, but I've gotten a few responses. I basically tell them that there are people in my hometown spreading these files across the internet, and that they belong to me and I wish to have them removed. I also tell them that their sites will not be the target of anything legal, I just wish them to be removed ASAP...that sort of thing.
I would go with not a part of anything legal as long as the files are permanantly removed.
