I tried on AT&T website, I went to AT&T store, I went to Best Buy and I attempted on the AT&T app--I do not live close to any Apple stores.

None of them would take a pre-order for 44mm Stainless Steel, Silver.

"Typically" when do they become available "in stock" after the initial pre-order buzz wears off? This is the first time I've ever attempted to buy Pre-order and didn't realize that the most expensive option would be the most challenging to get...heck, it's not even for me.

It's showing available from Best Buy on their web site. Just go order it.
I did, they don't have any available and there is no estimated ship date.

It is cool you can make the purchase through Best Buy and actually designate/coordinate that i'm an AT&T customer. They'll add it to my AT&T bill, but you still pay Best Buy the tax.

All of that is great, the one downfall...they don't have any Silver Stainless Steel 44mm with milanese bands with an estimated date.

Hmmm - Their site has a few confusing statuses. Gold 44mm steel shows "Coming Soon" instead of a preorder button. The 44mm silver steel has a preorder button, but then lists no expected availability date. The others have the actual Sept 21st date. Strange. I'm just going to leave my preorder and see what happens.

Does availability on the 21st mean you'll receive it on the 21st? I've never heard of these guys before this year.
I’ve heard of them but never ordered from them. I don’t know if it means it’ll be here by the 21st or it’ll ship by the 21st but it’s 3day shipping and saving 80 bucks is more important to me than potentially getting the watch a few days later.

Anyone else order from B&H? Curious if there are any experiences to show they will deliver on time.

Anyone know if stores will have some for walk in sales on 9/21?

I haven't ordered Apple items from B&H but they are one of the largest photo equipment suppliers in the country. I've always been impressed with them and their speed/service. I would consider them very reputable.

I ordered exactly 3 things from B&H, 1st 2 items went into seemingly endless back order just before I expected them to ship (separate orders). 3rd item shipped fine but it was an obvious return (missing parts, scratched surfaces) when i paid new price. 3 strikes you’re out, ymmv!

You'll probably get it just about as fast as anywhere ordering it from B&H, but it's still hard to say exactly when you'll get it. I noticed it says Sep 21 for the Nike+ models on their site, but those don't actually launch until Oct 5.

It's weird what is plentiful on pre-order day in the past I felt the aluminum sold out fast. I wanted a SS with sport band and there was nothing, at least in my area, as well as on the online store, but SS with Milanese for me was no problem. Even after an hour of surfing around I could still get the SS Milanese in-store and I prefer in-store. I was surfing because I didn't have a good plan B, C, etc. And now I don't even have a good plan A. I have a week to figure it out. But back to you, I would surf around, I read the carriers initially didn't have any SS, but later today they did?? They or Apple wants the carriers to sell the aluminums first, then the SS??

Source? What you're saying is false, because carriers/Apple are _not_ artificially limiting any type of Apple Watch supply just for the sake of having one model to be sold over the other. My carrier Has had both stainless and aluminum models in stock or they can order it for you direct.
