I boght an Apple TV but itunes doesn't see it

I got the apple tv on my G network but itunes isn't finding it. What do I do to get it to see it? I can't enter the code because itunes doesn't see it....

My mac is a 15 inch macbook pro.
 
Nevermind, it's synching now.

I had a problem trying to stream though. It says it's loading but it just sits there taking forever. How come it has to load before it streams?
