I was in a pawnshop in Memphis, TN and came across this laptop, it was labeled Chromebook 4 but I knew right away that was clearly a mistake. it was $200 and it didnt come with the original charger but I didnt care, this is one hell of a deal. This thing is awesome, one of the nicest laptops I have ever used but it has one fatal flaw, the battery life is awful. The screen is best I have ever seen on any devic but have to be cautious at all times because Im worrying about battery dropping like a rock. It has a 10th gen i5, 8 gigs ram and a 256 gig ssd

It's missing the pen too. But for $200 it's a steal! Best Buy have it priced for 1k, while Samsung has dropped it $450 off. But I've never really took ChromeBooks seriously... besides the battery life? How is the operating system?

Edit: there's a caveat. $450 off for trade in.

I have the pen but as far as the OS I am a big fan, but I am probably not typical. I don’t use a computer often and when I do basic stuff like web browsing, YouTube etc. I have no need for a windows or Mac computer. I have been using Chromebooks for a few years now. Even the original Chomebook Plus is more than good enough for my uses and I don’t see much differ between any of them in my uses.

Congrats on a great find! Yeah, the battery life has been widely reported as being horrendous.

I think pushing that display has something to do with it. I'm surprised its still priced at 1k... given the issues with battery life, the price should be reduced.

Samsung is having a killer deal on the Galaxy Chromebook.... MSRP=$999, sale=$349.

Edit to add: (removed link) it wasn't a deal... it required a trade-in to get that price.

Yes, but there's a catch.. have to trade in a device that bring in a $450 value...
Ack! You are correct sir. Thanks for catching that. I'll modify my post. I didn't look at it closely because I got a killer deal on the site for Tab S6 that DIDN'T involve a trade-in.

No problem.. I did it a few post back in this thread. They should go ahead and remove the trade in aspect of it. The Mercury Gray model is already sold out...
