You bought a great phone.

I’m a little sad they seem to have given up on the SE line, but I suspect it was just eating into the sales of higher margin phones too much.

Even today at the tail end of 2018 it still provides 99% of the iPhone experience at a fraction of the cost, and is super portable and easier to handle too. As far as I can tell the only practical things I’m missing out on are the larger screen obviously, and the fancy dual camera features - but I have an iPad and an X-Pro2 that meet all those needs. Face ID vs Touch ID is a wash as far as I’m concerned. Plus, of course there’s a headphone jack that I still find very useful (I use both wired and wireless connections, mind blowing huh).

Performance on iOS 12 is fantastic and better than 11. Couldn’t be happier with my year-old SE, just dissapointed there’s no obvious successor to look forward to next year.

I'm really sad too about the lack of a small phone. Truly one-handed, and not cumbersome in the pockets.

Who else will miss the SE?

Did anyone try to go to Apple Store and ask how much they are selling it (if they still have it)

Somebody posted something the other day that the price had not yet changed to end of life pricing. But that might have changed by now. I'd call them or drop by to find out. There's no way to know exactly when the pricing is going to change. It might have already happened.

It's a great little phone. As I heard someone else on here say, I don't know a single person who's in any way unhappy with their SE.

LOL, I thought I was the only one who bought an Iphone SE on Thursday. I got a Silver SE 128gb unlocked at the Apple store. They were NOT discounted, but I like the phone so much I got it anyway.
I will sell my Galaxy S9 and get the XS or XR this fall, but I love the size and weight if the SE. Great form factor!
By the way, I don't like the prices, but Apple has knocked it out of the park with these 3 new phones. Now they just need to refresh the SE in the mid-year. ;-)

May 2, 2017 - LG V20
May 20, 2017 - Apple iPhone SE
October 6, 2017 - LG G5 (my second G5)

The SE is the best iPhone ever made. My favorite iPhone by far.

My G5 now has severe battery drain and I own a spare OEM one. It's not even used for a year and battery drain is apparent. My V20's battery is also starting to get worse (20%) and starting to lag more. That's why I have cooled off on LG as a brand as of late when they used to be one of my favorites.

After 16 months, the SE works just as well as Day 1. It has maintained its battery life only being about 10% worse and its still smooth as butter on 10.2.1. I'm planning to take advantage of that $29 deal with Apple and get the battery replaced in November.

I don't love Apple as a company. I'll always be more of a Google/Android Guy.

But I must say if you want your products to last longer, it's Apple all the way. Best aftermarket support in the industry. Removable batteries is overrated to me after two years. Stuck getting Chinese third-party replacements or OEMs that are already old.

Best iPhone ever made.

Yes I did. Ordered a brand-new in box unlocked Gold iPhone SE. It has this really cool feature that gives me $600. Couldn't be happier.
what size did you order? does it make sense to get 32 gb?

While I was at work today one of my wives told me I got a package. I knew exactly what it was.

32gb, gold, unlocked, and brand new. $150 on eBay. I noticed the price jump the next day; it appears a lot of people feel the same way.

Let the SE revolution continue.

My son is now in his second year of using a SE. I've got 12 more months of payment, although it'd be easy to pay off the $200 remaining on it.

My 128G SE was delivered about 20 minutes before the announcement of the new phones on Wednesday. I was was still holding out hope for an updated normal size phone, but as soon as the announcement ended I opened the package and swapped my SIM into it.

I should be good for a few years, unless Apple can produce something that I actually want to use again.

add me to the list. for someone that uses a phone primarily for texting, email, an occasional phone call: it just works.
My SE is perfect .... looks good, great form and good battery life so far and it's 2.5 years old.
But, I think I will check out the XR

I know personal stories don’t mean much... but are we really sure they sold a lot of these things in the real world (outside of this forum)? I know one person who has one. I’ve never seen one in person. Ever. My office has 1300 employees, and I see mostly 8 and 8+, with the occasional X peppered in. No one has an SE. Maybe they killed it because it isn’t selling.

I would assume that was a part of it. Also, that it takes away from them buying the iPhone 8.

I just picked up a new in box SE 32gb for $125. It was too good of a deal to pass up. I figure on using it as my backup and even as an iPod. They're really great phones.

hey guys does it make sense to buy the 128 gb SE from Apple store for $450? the 32 gb is $350 but in my current 6s plus i have 30 gb free out of 64 and i dont save any photos or music or any of tat stuff. I have 2TB of icloud space so not sure how you can live with 32 gb SE. any advice? I see people buying thee phones on ebay $250 for a 64 gb but its unclear is these are unlocked, sealed new with warranty or some other form of refurbished and sold as new

I love my SE. picked it up a few months back after seeing more and more hints at larger iPhones again this year. I'm disappointed that they aren't keeping at least one smaller version that worked perfectly vs the dozens of large smart phones everyone else sells now.

Anyone here bought the SE from a few years back and still like it? I do except the battery have seem to be very bad. How do i test the battery if there is a way?

I bought one yesterday too. I have an 8 Plus but it's a clunker to hold and use. Love the screen, but man it is just slippery and big.

Can't wait until my SE gets here.

is it gonna be your new daily driver?

So glad I got a 32gb space grey (at&t prepaid) for $80 ($50+$30 for SIM) at the end of this summer to complement my gold 64 SE unlocked on iOS 10.

Neither are my primary but I'm tempted to throw my SIM in my SE since its End of life now.

I love using it every once in a while, such a great device. Truly a hit.
