Not interested until the watch charger is color-matched /s
so, if we find out that the puck (watch does not come with a charger) is indeed color matched, so black Ultra 2 gets block puck - it's an instant buy for you, right? Not interested until the watch charger is color-matched /s
Nah no reason to upgrade from my current AWU 1. I actually prefer the natural over black anyway.so, if we find out that the puck (watch does not come with a charger) is indeed color matched, so black Ultra 2 gets block puck - it's an instant buy for you, right?
I didn't even notice this, if true. I'll have to look when I get home. Although I do keep my puck in a stand I printed anyway. The aluminum vs stainless steel back of my previous watches was certainly more obvious.seriously, it's an interesting question as the Ultra came with Ti backs on the puck ...
That’s a good idea though. It doesn’t bother me nor will change my purchase decisions but good to have. I some times wonder if Apple can start matching MacBook chargers with color of the MacBook Pro.so, if we find out that the puck (watch does not come with a charger) is indeed color matched, so black Ultra 2 gets block puck - it's an instant buy for you, right?

I am interested to see how well they hold up once they’re actually in peoples hands. Every Garmin watch I have ever seen that has black DLC coating on titanium, has scuffs and scratches on it. Perhaps Apple has figured out a way to prevent that more. Guess we’ll find out soon!
You think Apple didn’t test the case of the “rugged” watch? And some YouTubers will point at anything other than clicks?I would hold up ordering until we see some YouTubers scratch testing it…
If it’s just coated, then looking forward to see how well it stands up to light scratches etc,
I’m hoping there isn’t glint of silver underneath 😱
My exact plan!I currently have an Ultra 1 and I was able to resist to buy an Ultra 2.
Now with the new Sleep Apnea Feature and the Black Color I couldn't`t resist and ordered one with a black Trail Loop.
I will order the new Milanese as soon as it is widely available.
Apple have made titanium watches with a DLC coating before. I had a Series 7 black titanium and it was tough! Two years and no scratches at all - looked brand newI would hold up ordering until we see some YouTubers scratch testing it…

That’s great to hear, thank youApple have made titanium watches with a DLC coating before. I had a Series 7 black titanium and it was tough! Two years and no scratches at all - looked brand new
That is the opposite of my experience. Every Garmin I’ve owned over the past few years has been titanium with the black DLC coating and it has always held up VERY well. I am not super careful with it and still, any marks have rubbed right off.I am interested to see how well they hold up once they’re actually in peoples hands. Battle scars right? I inadvertently dropped my Taylor guitar after a gig and was devastated by the scuffs. But another musician friend right up a great point that I’ll always remember that gig when I see the scuffs. The slim possibility of getting a scuff or scratch on my new black Ultra does not deter me one bit.

“I’ll never forget that drunken night. Oh wait, actually I can’t remember anything from that night!”Too bad with the watch those memories would be more like “I’ll always remember smacking the doorframe to my bedroom” haha
The black Apple Watch Ultra looks amazing, but unfortunately I am switching to Garmin because most of the selling points on the Ultra are better on a Garmin.
Worried about software updates?
Don't be afraid as the Series 9/Ultra 2 and Series 10 will drop support at the exact same time. (Coming from a developer)
