Why aren't people upset about wearing a thick rubber case that covers up the industrial stainless steel on the iPhone 4?

Don't the cases cosmetically hurt the iPhone 4, and incidentally, your eyes?

Ummm how about this? Don't use one. LOL! I don't have a case or a bumper. Zaggs is on the back glass and the front and sides are bare. The zaggs will be replaced by a steinheil as soon as it's delivered.

Oh and the phone? Works great! :cool:
 
It's a nuisance having to have a bumper on it to prevent bridging the antennas. I could have returned the phone for a full refund, but I love it too much.

Just have to make do.
 
I use the bumper when I think I might drop it, or my phone is at a higher risk of being damaged (like at work).

At home I take the bumper off (carpets everywhere).

But I would love to get a sleeve from Sena or Vaja for my pocket.

But yes, my bumper fixes my antenna issue when I dont want to have to think about how im holding it. I love the phone, and couldnt see myself using any other kind of phone, and the device is great, so no, I dont mind applying a nice looking band around the phone to make it perfect (IMHO)

I don't use a bumper, because the antenna issues doesn't affect me.
Sorry that I don't drop calls like you've been told. Just remember, not everything you hear on the internet is truth. :)
 
Yeah, it sucks, but apple already made their stance clear after we all voiced how unhappy we are about that. So it's either bumper or no iPhone, and since the rest of the phone is so good, I'll make due with a bumper. Maybe if they actually made a good android phone I wouldve switched to that, but alas they don't.
 
I went from Zagg, to Zagg + Bumper, to Bumper, to no case or shield at all.

And guess what. My phone works great.
 
Really wish Apple didn't do the free bumper thing now idiots think you really need it to use the phone which of course is ratarded.

Whatever, I don't use my case half of the time and the only reason I do is to protect the phone, not for reception.

Not that the OP really cares, he's just trolling.
 
As much as I love the iP4 on it's own bare naked, I'd rather they'd manufactured it with the bumper permanently on with the steel underneath (we'd never see). Makes it less slippy, more grippy and personally it looks much more sexy. Especially black on black!

Anyway, how many other of the smartphones have had cases shipped with them or users persisting using them? I'd say quite a lot. So Apple aren't alone in this dept. OP = you lose.

I won't put my phone in a hideous rubber band. Leather case for carrying it; take it out to use it. Case solved.

This guy has been spreading rumors about an antenna fix for days. Knock it off man. It's not going to happen. Simple. Quit complaining. If you don't like your phone return it. If you don't want to use it with a case then don't. If you haven't bought one yet because you think this mysterious fix is coming good for you but waiting is only going to delay your use of the same model of phone. Stop making false claims that aren't backed up by anything but your hunches.

He doesn't have an iPhone. So he basically has absolutely no idea what he is talking about.
 
I knocked mine off a table last night and it landed on the wood floor. Had the bumper on there and all was well, I don't think it'd have been the case if the bumper wasn't on there. I don't have any of the reception issues that others do, but it is foolish to not have at least some sort of protection for your phone.
