I got a MacBook Air yesterday, and I'm using my old Powerbook G4 as a "base station" for wireless access, printing, and hopefully a file server. That way I can just connect through AirPort to my PB and have access to all of my peripherals. Problem is, I can't get my LaCie Firewire drive to share. I enabled sharing on it, and dragged it to the file sharing menu. Nothing. Could this be because the drive is set as FAT? If I reformat it to HFS, will I be able to share it across my network?

Both the PB and Air are running Leopard, if that helps.
