I have a new iPhone and have been able to set up my home email account, but have been unable to set up my work exchange account. After entering the exchange server name I get the message "Exchange Account Verification Failed". I have talked to apple support 3 times today, and am on hold as we speak. I have already upgraded to 2.2 and also restored to factory settings. still getting the same message. Anyone have any ideas?

Setting up Exchange email

Assuming that your company setup is similar to mine......
My exchange setup is like this:
- exchange server name - this is accessible only from within the private company network. (intranet)
- External server - IS set's up an external server address, that is accessible from the Internet. This is the name that you have to enter.

Taking a look at what I enter on my iphone:
- emailid, domain, username and password are all standard (the same as what I enter from the work PC). This information is enough for Exchange to identify what internal server you are on, and direct you there.
- Server - this is the external server name, provided by IS.
The internal exchange server name is not entered.
