Both these sites worked on my previous phones.

    wap.fantasy.premierleague.com

    wap.nationalrail.co.uk

Any idea why they don't work on the iphone? The WAP verson of eBay works fine.

Not sure how you got eBay to work, Safari shouldn't be able to read true WAP sites, it prefers its code in HTML and other more grown-up formats. It's frustrating at times as some sites have nice WAP implementation but have not been formatted for the iPhone. Here's hoping more places see what Engadget did: the vast majority of mobile web browsing is now done on iPhone and iPod touch devices.

I'm quite sure that iPhone and iPod touch devices are in the minority or mobile web devices.

Whilst the device numbers are clearly in the minority they account for a disproportional high amount of bandwidth to sites.
