My iPhone is running iOS 12.4 as of today. I followed the steps for watchOS 5.3 beta and installed the profile.

When I check for software updates, it says my Watch is up to date with 5.2.1.

Anyone else have this issue?

Do you have a developer's account? If not, then you can't install it.

You don't need a developer account to run any of the iOS or watchOS beta builds. That goes for iOS 12.4, watchOS 5.3, iOS 13 or watchOS 6...

Double check the profile is there and restart both phone and watch. If that doesn't work try taking the watch off charge, unlock and then search for the update, before putting it back on charge when shown.

Unfortunately I did all of that and still no dice. I Googled it and this website says that installing watchOS 5.3 is more difficult than iOS AND that watchOS 5.3 is for developers.

Very odd.
