I can't just sync my checked songs only to my iPad?!

It gives me either the option to sync my entire library of music (which i don't want to do because some of them are speeches and i don't want them on my iPad), or sync artists and stuff.

Where's the "only checked songs" option?

Some odd syncing issues on the first sync

For some reason, even though some items were checked for Sync (photos) and others were not (podcasts), they didn't sync right.

Photos were optimized to iPad, but then never actually downloaded to the iPad.

All my podcasts were downloaded - which I didn't want.

Nicely enough, I was able to delete the podcasts on the iPad locally.

The second sync pretty much cleared things up, but even with space left, it tells me not all photos were transferred.

The option to "sync only checked songs" is on the Summary tab, rather than the Music tab.
