I just updated my computer to 10.4.8 and then it didn't see my printer anymore. My printer had been working fine before this.
My computer is an eMac 1Ghz
The printer is a Canon PIXMA iP3000

go to your applications/utilities folder and open the Printer Setup Utility. go to the menu, click on Printer Setup Utility (usually where the "File" menu would be in other programs) and select Reset Printing System. once this is done, re-install your new printer drivers and try printing again...

When I am trying to add the printer it comes up with an error message that says server-error-service-unavailable. I think that the problen is from the 10.4.8 update so how do I revert to 10.4.7?

If the printer is plugged into a hub - then remove it from the hub and connect it directly to your Mac's usb port. Now setup the printer.
