I Cant Prview or Open Any Photo's On My Book

I have a MacBook Pro, Own for about 2 months and all of a sudden I can not preview any photos i tried opening it with photoshop by dragging the file over the P.S. Logo and photoshop freezes on open. The message that im getting when trying to preview the photo is:

ImageName.Jpg

Could'nt open the file.It may be corrupt or a file
format that preview does'nt recopnize.

Maybe someones had this problem and knows how to fix this...Please Help Thanks!
