I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 7. When I try to send a text message to my email address, the text simply comes back to my phone as a text message and never makes it to my email. I like sending quick text messages to my email and I need them stored there for future reference. I used to be able to send text messages to my email, but this new iOS changed something where I no longer receive the texts in my email. I use Gmail for my email.

Works if you send it to an email address not registered to iMessage. Otherwise iOS figures you want to send it via iMessage.
