Cool. Post your impressions :)

This will be my first Android phone since my Galaxy Nexus. I'm planning on using this as a way to compare the three operating systems against each other. Nexus 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and the Lumia 1520 are all going to be my basis, since I have all three (as of Monday).

Well as its very much like a bigger Moto X I know how much I like that and how smooth lollipop is - I'm sure your going to enjoy it greatly :)

I did that, but it was with the iPhone 5, Nexus 5 and Lumia 1020 :D I still went back to Apple. Android is really good, but I feel it's not as smooth as iOS. WP8 is a good middle ground it just lack in apps for me and the camera was really slow to launch.

I am buying one today, sold my Nexus 5 yesterday.

I get 14 days and somehow I think I will keep it versus the S6 or M9.

On FedEx vehicle for delivery
Scheduled for delivery next business day

And if what I read on the internet is true, and the estimated delivery date is right, that means that it's going to be sitting on somebody's truck until Monday. Because reasons, right?

You don't get deliveries on Saturdays in UK? I know we don't on Ireland either through couriers or postal service, bit I thought UK would.

I got one about 3weeks ago, absolutely love it, thought it may be too large at first but I soon got used to it. It is as smooth as any phone I have had, like the notifications on pick up.

Great! Hope you like it. Been wanting a screen size close to 6 inches with a 2k screen (keep it above 400ppi) and Nexus 6 fits closest to it. I thought it would it take some time getting used to iPhone 6 Plus. Not at all. Quick and easy adjustment. The footprint doesn't worry me one bit anymore. I see alot of mediocre reviews on Best Buy or Amazon but I don't necessarily believe them. I think Nexus 6 is better than the review scores it gets.

What is your take vs a 6plus? Funny to see this thread, I was looking at a Nexus 6 yesterday. First time I have actually held one, it caught my interest.

Make sure you flash to Android 5.1. Makes a pretty big difference in performance!

Any specifics you can elaborate on showing improvement?

I'm liking the N6 very much. Having the ip6 Plus and some other large smartphones, the N6 is big but it took no time to get use to and I am quite comfortable handling it.

I'll wait for update OTA, no hurry really.

I will look at the S6 and M9 but I am happy so far to tell the truth.

I must admit that I couldn't give an informed opinion, I have only held a 6+ in the shop, it seemed exceptional but I do prefer the Android OS to iOS at the moment, IMHO I wouldn't say that the larger screen on the Nexus is that much more noticeable to give it an advantage though.

you currently have a n6 which came out in december i believe, and already want to switch phones to a s6 or m9... are you loaded or just really paranoid about not having the latest phone?

if you aren't playing massive video games, calm down and relax, your phone is good enough.

It shipped with 5.0, then updated to 5.0.1, with no more updates in sight.

My understanding is that VZW handsets are shipping with 5.1 with an ETA of the 18th so I am guessing Google will start the OTA's on the 18th. I sideloaded mine (I am completely stock btw, no root or anything of the sort.)

Why does it matter to you what he does with his money? Why are judging him because he's on a site/forum for mobile phone enthusiasts and is... enthusiastic about tinkering with the latest and greatest?

If we wanted good enough, we'd get $50 prepaid phones because at the end of the day they serve the same purpose.
