Thats why Apple Invented the iPhone.... (small enough to fit in your pocket)!!!!:D

my wife has a seven inch Droid. Way too small for me to effeciently browse with. Nice size for holding for long periods of time and playing games though. Depends on what you use it for.

i can definitely see why people want a 7" screen, but i see no need for one myself with both an iphone and ipad

I have been waiting to get an iPad 2 and I was nervous they would reveal a smaller screen--I would have passed for sure.

tested a Galaxy Tab for a couple weeks. It is too small. Oh, and the device and it's OS both really suck.

NO!

The largest that Apple will consider is 6 inches or less because it has to be pocketable and an iPod Touch.

What kind of apps do you run on a 7" device? iPhone apps that look strangely large, or iPad apps that are awkwardly small?

With the exception of games, and maybe a web browser, the 7" size is just awkward.

I NEVER take my iPad outdoors because of the size so a 7" would be perfect for me. And my bet is all these "7in is terrible" folks would love it if Jobs decided to approve one.

no go for me.

:)

i'm good with the 10 inch (that's what she said)

of course, if apple decided to make one...i would re-evaluate my position...cause that's how i roll.

The iPad 3 rumored for later this year will most likely be a large iPod Touch. A six inch iPod Touch would be a hot seller.

Sure, you never know. Choice is never a bad thing.

That's a silly mantra. As if you're denied "choice" because Apple's not producing a 7" tablet. If the Pad doesn't work for you then you have a choice not to buy it, and if you have a burning need for the 7" form factor then there are "choices" for you from other manufacturers. Does Apple's business decision to stick with iPod/iPad form factors really deny the world "choice"?

that would reak havok for dev's.

Maybe a 7'' would be btter. (3.5x2) so just double the resolution :)

No. It would be too close in size to an iPad. And Steve wouldn't want to copy all the 7" android tablets. He would want to do something unique. Something between a 5 and 6 inch tablet would probably be what he will do and he will make sure whatever size he picked would still enable a 4:3 ratio display.
