Amazing so many generations got by without having to make batteries taste bad if you tried to eat them
Clean the batteries with an alcohol swab. I have had success by cleaning the cells. To convince yourself the bitterant agent is gone touch the battery to your tongue. If you try to replace your AirTag battery with one of Duracell’s premium coated “Child Secure” 2032 batteries, good luck. Because I couldn’t get them to work
I use an alcohol wipe, such as eyeglass cleaner. Works every time for me.I tried to remove the bitter adhesive with a razor blade and tweezers but I had no luck. It’s almost impossible to get off.
This is an old thread. Current name brand batteries with bitterant should work with AirTags but as always, YMMV.I hope everyone with this problem returns batteries to seller/manufacturer for a refund saying they’re not fit for purpose.
its more apples design to blame if you were to point a finger..I hope everyone with this problem returns batteries to seller/manufacturer for a refund saying they’re not fit for purpose.
