I managed to delete the TV app (I thought it was for Apple TV) without checking first... then noticed Videos was missing. So I went and grabbed Videos from the App Store (it was still there, the old Videos app). But then realized TV app was the replacement for it, but the App Store does not show TV app at all! How can I get it back?? Or is it gone for good? I don’t really care as I don’t use it much anyway, and the few movies I had downloaded from iTunes Store, are still available through the Videos app anyway. But just wondering...

Only, it seems to say it’s not able to be used on this device... check out the screenshot! And this is iPad Pro 12.9 the new 2017 one.

So it seems its not the same exact app that was installed with ios11 update, although the icon is the same one.

SO you have videos and TV? What country are you in?

I did, temporarily on the iPhone. I had downloaded the Videos app, while I still had the TV app. But then deleted the TV app on it too. Now I cant get it back on either. I suspect that Apple just has yet to include it on the App Store to re-download. I think it might have something to do with permissions and developers / beta. At least in the Canadian store because it doesn’t even come up in searching in the App Store. Obviously the device can support it, I had briefly opened it when iOS 11 first installed. I didn’t go past the first screen (or read it) but I did open it, so its obviously supported. The message saying my devices don’t have features required for it, is puzzling. But I suspect it will be rectified soon as I am not the only one who deleted it inadvertently and cant get it back.

I know when I switched regions from US to UK, TV would automatically delete and Videos would automatically download. This was about a month ago though.

"If the TV app isn't available in your country or region, your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch will instead have the Videos app to watch movies and TV shows that you buy from the iTunes Store."

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208083

Perhaps this is why?

Except, its the Canadian store where the link someone gave me to the TV app. It’s on the Canadian store. And the videos app won’t let me buy or rent any movies or tv shows because it says I need the TV app...

Spoke to Apple, and it’s a known bug. Engineers are working on it and will be fixed in 11.0.1 apparently. It’s affecting USA, Canada and Australia that they know of so far.
