The other night I tripped on a bathroom rug and sort of fell. I ended up sitting on the side of the bathtub, right where my I keep my iPad for bathroom perusal. AKA, my library.

Here are the results:

This after I taped it up to reduce the micro glass shards going everywhere.

I press the home button and I get this:

I enter my pass code and am greeted with this:

I was able to back up everything to both to iCloud and computer and have a service appointment on Thursday as Apple Care expires on July 1st.

Here are two more pictures:

Kind of amazing that it took that much damage from a fall. Looks like it was hit by a hammer!

Well, my family is famous for our lack of butts. Plus it was perched on the edge of tub and it slid down, as I did, into the tub so it got a little contour from that.

Wow, lucky timing! I only get AppleCare on my iPhone. Figure the iPad is safer because it's usually at home, always in a case, and I'm the only user.

Makes me think twice about AppleCare on the new 10.5 since it's so expensive & i've been known to trip. :D

Very very lucky you have Apple care. However, if you didn't, I would recommend the new 10.5. The reviews are off the chart.

That's a serious Fall. In any case, If it were me, I would just use this as a reason to upgrade to the newest iPad. (As if someone really needs a reason for for these awesome Pieces of hardware.)

I bought a iPad Air 2 because I needed it for my DJI Phantom 3 Pro, quad-copter and I was thinking about getting a Shield if thing didn't work out. The later ones may too big for the mounts I have.

I checked my Apple Care status and I have the Apple Care Plus, which includes two accidents caused by myself, until July 1st, 2017.

I'll update this when I get done with Apple.

It's up to you but I think it's worth it and thought my AC was already up. When I checked today I saw that I had Apple Care +, which includes two dufus things, like this. I hope.

I'll update this Thursday evening.

The Air 2 checks all of my boxes. Anything larger would be unusable.
