are there any tweaks out for iOS 7 that make the UI darker yet? also, is there a way to make the white iPhone boot screen black? I'm nervous about iOS 7...

Fancy will tint the whole UI a color...unfortunately they don't seem to have gray, but you can go all purple if you want! I am using Bloard, which gives you the dark iOS 7 keyboard at all times, not just in a handful of spots. Then, of course, Winterboard can be used for more subdued icons.
