I Don't Get It...Where's My "Matched" Music?

    Buy Lion...Check!
    Setup iCloud...Check!
Troubleshoot iCloud & the cluster-F of duplicated contacts, multiple AppleIDs, deleted calendar items and unnecessary password resets...Check!
    Setup iCloud again...Check!
    Pay $24.99 for iTunes Match...Check!

Ummmm...Now what? Where's my music that is supposed to be in the "Cloud?" Is there some secret hiding spot on my iPhone 4 where "matched" music is supposed to appear? I can't seem to find a "matched music" section or anything in the music app on my iPhone.

I'm on iOS 5.0.1 and my iPhone states that I have the latest software. I don't seem to have any settings in my iPhone for iTunes Match. What am I missing here?

I remain unimpressed by Apple's transition to the "cloud."

Note: I just re-read this post and realized that I sound like a moron. Funny how Apple can make me FEEL like one.

Thanks for the help (and for enduring my brief rant).

    Nathan

Settings > Music > iTunes Match + Show All Music

With these two settings, you will be able to see your entire library on the phone and download songs as necessary.

For the record, you don't have to do any of those things to use Match. I'm very happy to have avoided both Lion (at least for everyday use) and iCloud.

Fantastic! Thank you for the help. I'm all set. Although, as someone in another thread expressed, I was a bit surprised to learn that iTunes Match removes locally stored music tracks from the iPhone. Logical, I suppose...Just not something I thought about before flipping the switch on iTunes Match.

    Thanks again!

Mine wasn't removed. The stored ones that I originally synched before I turned on iTunes match on my iPhone 4S stayed and wasn't deleted. The rest of my library was added, however. So, there's a mixture of music that I can play instantly without worry of data connection (local) or some old song I haven't heard in a while (data download, iCloud).
