i downloaded snes9x, an snes emulator to play roms (all of which i own the cartridges legally of course).

anyway, when it downloaded it came up as one of those disk thingies. like i think its the same as when removal disks come up.. Looks kinda like an optical drive.

anyway: how do i do....something to where i dont have to have it on my desktop ( i like a relaly clean desktop) because it never seemed to install the emulator...but if i move it to the trash its gone DO_SOFSD

im very unclear in my wording, sorry.

p.s. it is a "dmg" file.

Let's see if I understand your question right.

Your program is located on the disk image, which acts, as you mentioned, as a removable disk, i.e. when you trash it, it "ejects". The .dmg file simply "loads" that disk image. To install your program, just open the disk image and drag the folder/application inside to your computer like you would transferring a document from a floppy disk or USB drive. Then it will be on your hard drive and you can eject the disk image (and trash the .dmg file if you don't want to keep it).
