Apps I don’t see some apps on Apple Watch from UAE.

Hi!

A few weeks ago I bought an Apple Watch Series 5 during my stay in Dubai. After activating it I realised that ECG and Walkie Talkie app isn’t there. I tried to contact Apple service, but they said this function won’t work on this Apple Watch, because it is from UAE. I also tried to give it to the Apple Store service, but it came back after a few days with note, that this function won’t work on this Watch. Have you got any idea how to make this functions back? I live in Poland, where they work normally. My Watch model is MWVF2AE/A or A2093. I hope you will help.

I dont think there is anything you can do, other than selling it and buy a polish version.

If you’re going back to the UAE, I would recommend returning it. Unless the UAE changes their laws, Apple won’t enable these features on that watch.

EDIT - I can understand walkie talkie being banned, but not the EKG app. Incidentally, does the AW have the iMessages app. iMessages is named in the UAE. I think all encrypted messaging apps are.

ECG app is only available in the countries where it already passed clearance by health authorities.
