This is just one of the more recent bugs I’ve noticed. Seems thy rather push out something unfinished and fix it later than just tell everyone “you know what we’re not happy with this yet we’re going to push release for a bit”. I rather have that. What about you guys? (The chat bubble is what I’m referring to. The messed up text is on purpose)

Beyond the bugs, there are so many conscious decisions in iOS 26 that have made me a into a "never upgrader" this time - unless things change, I'll be on iOS 18.x and have to switch to the other ecosystem

My eyes can't handle the blurriness everywhere in iOS 26, even when you turn on reduce transparency every icon is blurry

It’s the worst iOS update I’ve had in years in terms of lag and random app launches. Every time I open my phone it opens Apple Fitness or Apple News, neither of which are even on my Home Screen! The lag is also bad, especially when typing a text message. I hope they address this in the next few days as it’s appalling.

I have already put IpadOS 26 on my M1 iPad Air, and I have mixed reactions to it so far. However, I am hesitant of putting iOS 26 on my iPhone 13 Mini, primarily for speed and battery life issues, but also becasuse I don't like some of the "improvements" in the mail app on my iPad that I have had to deal with. Can't Apple just leave some things alone, that already work well enough?

No they cannot!

Same here. I may hold purchase new iPhone / iPad and Mac as they need iOS 26 / macOS 26 at minimum.

I'm in the same boat. I'm holding off upgrading anything to 26. Fortunately all my hardware is relatively recent, and perhaps by the time I decide to get a new iDevice or Mac they'll have all this garbage cleaned up. Or not, and I'll go see what the grass is like on the other side of the fence.

It's an ugly design. I am quite fond of frutiger aero, but what Apple did is an abomination. Also the "wobbling" when you unlock phone is really annoying and completely unnecessary

Well, as long as humans write software, there will be bugs. And AI learns from humans, so there will be bugs.

For me, I like iOS 25 and all the other 26 releases, and in my use cases I have not encountered bugs tbh. YMMV

I’m seeing blackout icons when scrolling pages left and right on a 17 Pro with 12GB of ram 🤮.

If you’re on an older iPhone, I would stay on iOS 18 until Apple fixes all the bugs.

Totally agree. This upgrade seems to have a ton of new options. However, things that took one click, now take multiple to do the same thing - very inefficient. And so many apps haven’t been working correctly. I spent a good part of the day on Tuesday to get my Apple Watch to correctly show steps from Duffy. Not a happy camper. Hopefully 26.1 will fix the bugs.

I’m getting that issue intermittently on my 17PM, but it’s horrible on my M4 13” iPad Pro. Despite that, 26.0 was actually quite good on that ipad. 26.1 is far worse.

I’m curious, how’s battery life and performance on your M1 iPad Air?

Mine is running iPadOS 15 so I wouldn’t know.
