How on earth could it drain battery? Just impossible
Sounds like a faulty unit
I can almost certifiably say this has nothing to do with 3D Touch.
He's talking about the inclusion of 3D Touch meaning the battery itself is physically smaller than on the 6.You can turn off the 3D Touch very easily, you know...
So, he's speaking of Force Touch, which makes the screen deeper, which means a smaller battery. He's talking about the inclusion of 3D Touch meaning the battery itself is physically smaller than on the 6.
For something that opens up menus that only take a tap or two to get to anyway, it must waste battery with all those vibrations and pressure processing.
I'm almost mad I bought the iPhone 6s. The battery on this thing drains faster than a barefoot jackrabbit on a hot greasy grittle in the backyard of a sauna in 100° heat in the middle of August.

OK. So what then of his complaints about battery life?
An iPhone 6 with the same issue OP is complaining about would still drain the same way - it'd just be from a larger battery - and OP wouldn't have the smaller battery and Force Touch to blame the drain issue on.
From the OP:Sorry, but I think you're wrong. He talks of the 3D Touch wasting battery with "all those vibrations and pressure processing".

Well yes. But I heard that the battery is smaller and I can tell
OK. End of thread then. From the OP:

The battery is physically smaller to make room for Force Touch. That is a fact.
OP has made his complaint (although the feedback option at apple.com is always good).
There is nothing we can do to resolve OP's complaint. He needs to get Apple to solve the problem for him.
That too.Or he can buy the case apple released yesterday, with the weird lump on the back
Welcome to September 25th. We know the battery is not the same. The 6s battery is smaller. But because of the increased power management of the A9 over the A8, battery life is much better. I get hours more on my 6s compared to my 6.There's people out there that don't know if the 6s and the 6 battery is the same, and I'm putting my vote in that it isn't.

OP, there's already been a few people suggesting you go to settings > battery to see what could be draining yours and you seem to be sitting on the sidelines instead watching responses and occasionally popping in with more whining. Obvious troll thread.
Can't wait for the finishers "fed up with Apple", "Jobs wouldn't have allowed it" and you're "getting a Samsung".![]()
I'm actually complaining now. I think I might want to return it. I did all that work charging it to 100% and it's at 80% in 30% minutes. And that's with the battery save on. I'm not even listening to music or playing games.
There has never been an iPhone with a good battery. And this one is worse than before. I hate having to keep sitting by the outlet and now with this you have to do it even more frequently.
I have to take my charger with me everywhere I go.
Go to the bathroom? Take your charger.
Going across the street? Take your charger.
Sitting at the cafe? Take your charger.
Sitting on the bus? Take your charger. Going to the movies? Take your charger. Taking an uber? Take your charger.
And then they have the charger cases, which is just double the work! That's why I got rid of mine. I hate charging ALL DAY. You charge the watch, you charge the phone, you charge MacBook. But the phone is the worst.
I didn't care at first but MAYBE A REMOVABLE BATTERY ISNT SUCH A BAD IDEA AFTER ALL.
