So my question is when the back shatters does it usually still work or does it stop working? And if it still should work and doesn't am I able too take it too the genius bar?

They'll replace it for a fee, if that's what you're asking. The back glass is easier to replace than the front, if you're into the DIY thing.

Since when do they replace stuff for free when you break it yourself?

But don't the iPhones with back shattered glass usually still work? This one doesn't even turn on. What's the fee

the fee for back glass replacement is 25$, but i think besides the glass you need repair the iphone.

So do you think it's worth trying too take it in? I mean what the hell are you suppose too do with it when it doesn't turn on, it turned on for a second and couldn't read the sim. How much does att charge if you have insurance?

I would try taking it in. Generally the stores are very generous and will do a one time replacement. Just tell them what happened and ask how much it is to get it repaired. They will either tell you how much it is or that they can do it one time for free.

I'm not sure ATT offers insurance on the iPhone, but if you have it I'm sure the company charges some sort of deductible for the replacement.

Good luck!

Alright thanks for the help!

I asked ATT about the insurance on the iPhone several times. They always say that by contract they have to refer to Apple for the first year warranty and do not sell monthly insurance for the iphone at all.
