I've had phones for about 20 years now but this was the first time I've dropped one....and it's fine. While in hospital i managed to knock it off a table at around waist height; it fell face first on the ground - these hospital floors are very hard. I'm glad I had a case on it, and a decent case (I think it cost me £30, bought when I got the iPhone XR in the Apple store.

Normally I'm very careful and if I'm outside I'll stop and take it out very gently and have a firm grip on it.
Anyone else recently drop their phone lately?

So, was there any damage? Nicks, scuffs? The case suffered anything?

I remember dropping my iPhone 3G because I was running across the street to make a light, I had the phone in my hand and it flew out. I've never dropped another phone after that.

I drop my phone on a daily basis at work. Sometimes from the ceiling height when I should be using an actual flashlight. This is why I can't have curved edge display phones.

No it looks flawless; I did buy one of those tempered screen protectors which I've never had before. Not sure how good they are in a fall but it was just £5 and the chap fitted it for me.

I'm going back into hospital for perhaps a month tomorrow and the XR will be the phone I take with me. It's so good that my Max isn't seeng much use.

So you dropped your phone.
Fortunately it was in a case and suffered no damage whatsoever.

So, with all due respect, what is the point of this thread? Or am I missing something?

Because I dropped it - it was a one off and the first time in 20 plus years that I've dropped my phone. People start threads where they've dropped their phones countless times.

And it goes to show how the XR is a pretty touch phone.
