I dropped my iPod earlier today (it was attached to the headphones and the headphones slipped out), it was only a 10cm drop max but the screen has got a crack in it and it's now splintered (with a few minor scratches around the edges but I can cope with them). This dent is not on the screen itself but above it and I was wondering if maybe I can send it back and get it fixed or replaced on the warranty? I don't mind telling a little white lie to get them to but I was wondering if they would actually take it back. Anyone know?

I doubt Apple will take back a cracked iPod. iPods don't just crack under normal use. Sorry. Looks like you'll have to live with it.

If you paid with a credit card, see if it offers any sort of purchase protection.

If not, you are SOL.

How much would it cost?

I just dropped my iPod Touch in the airport today... the metal is dented and the screen is cracked in the upper right corner. Any idea how much it would cost to replace or fix the screen? I've been seeing around $250 to replace iPhone screens, but I'm not sure if this applies to the touch also. Any ideas? I hope to spend around $100 or less...
